StockMate NZ is a personal AI market intelligence tool for New Zealand investors. This policy explains what data we handle, how, and your rights.

What we collect

We collect almost nothing. StockMate NZ is a client-side app — your data stays on your device.

Anthropic API key — stored in your browser's localStorage. Never transmitted to us. Used only to make requests to Anthropic's API on your behalf.
Portfolio & trade data — stored in your browser's localStorage. Never sent to our servers.
Watchlist & settings — stored in your browser's localStorage. Never sent to our servers.

What we do NOT collect

No account registration, no email address, no name
No analytics or tracking cookies
No advertising or third-party trackers
No financial account details

Our Cloudflare Worker

AI queries and stock data requests are routed through a Cloudflare Worker proxy at blue-cell-0275.ryanlopes13.workers.dev. This worker:

Forwards your query to Anthropic's API using your API key
Fetches stock price data from Yahoo Finance
Does not log, store, or retain any request data
Does not store your API key — it is used per-request and immediately discarded

Third-party services

Anthropic — AI queries are processed by Anthropic's Claude API. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Yahoo Finance — stock price and search data is fetched from Yahoo Finance's public API.
Gumroad — purchases are processed by Gumroad. See Gumroad's Privacy Policy. We receive only basic purchase confirmation.
Cloudflare — our infrastructure runs on Cloudflare Pages and Workers. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Data storage & security

All personal data (API key, portfolio, watchlist) is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage on your own device. Clearing your browser data will remove it. We have no access to it and cannot recover it.

Children's privacy

StockMate NZ is intended for adults making investment decisions. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The "last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
